Are they going to finish top-two: If DC finishes 3 or 4 of their last 5 matches, DC has enough points to finish top two in playoffs, which allows a second chance to make finals.
DC has been steady all season and has a balanced squad, which put them in a good position to qualify for playoffs.
Kolkata Knight Riders: Narrow Hill to climb
Current Position: 7 points from 9 matches
Calculation to make the playoffs: KKR must win all five remaining matches to qualify and make it to 17 points. But a single loss, puts KKR at max 15 points, and requires any remaining matches to go KKR’s way.
KKR does not have much room for error. KKR will need to be at the top of their game for all matches to remain eligible for playoffs.
Rajasthan Royals: Climb the Hill
Current Position: 6 points from 10 matches
Calculation to make the playoffs: RR needs to win all 4 matches remaining to get to 14 points. Even then, RR making it to playoffs require results going their way and requires needing to improve their net run rate.
RR need a lot of luck to fight their way into playoffs. There is a slim chance RR could continue winning to fight to the playoffs.
