India Vs England, 3rd Odi Live Score India Wins By 142 Runs And Clinches The Series 3-0

India swept the hosts 3-0 in the third match of the three-match ODI series, defeating England by 142 runs. Shubman Gill’s century (112) and the half-centuries from Shreyas Iyer (78) and Virat Kohli (52) earlier drove India’s 356-run total.

During the initial overs, Gill carried Virat Kohli, who appeared to regain his indecisiveness outside the stump. Gill whipped and stroked the ball with equal command as Kohli played and missed with a collage of expressive oohs and aahs.

Adil Rashid got Kohli out for the eleventh time, ending their 107-ball, 116-run second-wicket partnership and leaving India at 122/2 in 19 overs.

The subsequent partnership between Gill and Shreyas Iyer was even more rapid than the Gill-Kohli stand. Putting aside the left-right theory, the two right-handers helped India reach 200 in 30 overs.

During the chase, England was all out on 214 runs. Each bowler contributed by taking wickets.

England got off to a great start with the bat, scoring 60 runs in 6.2 overs. But as has happened numerous times in the series, the rest of the batting collapsed after both openers fell.

The English batters were held back by the spinners in the middle overs, who took wickets and squeezed them with maiden overs.

Mohammed Shami was replaced by Arshdeep Singh (2/33) who bowled well. Harshit Rana (2/31) was again expensive with the new ball, but he returned in the second spell and broke the backbone of the England batting order by picking Jos Buttler.

Bottom Line

The boys performed admirably, and the game was great overall. This demonstrated that even without Bumrah, we can prevail.

The Champions Trophy is therefore not a concern because every Indian player is performing well and will prove their worth again.

Good luck, champions
